Mel da Ilha has the DOP seal – Protected Designation of Origin – in order to ensure the sustainability of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
Multiflora honey results from a mixture of nectars from various flower species and is collected from March to September or October. It is characterized by its brownish color, with a rich and pleasant flavor, from the diverse flora where it came.
